The 1000-year-old relic swords, known as "Kanshou and Bakuya", discovered after OAR research, were discovered to have a unique multi-layered structure, containing a mysterious substance in their core.

This substance, known as "Jiu Xuan's Soul", has the ability to revive the dead.

In an attempt to take possession of the substance, "SAI" - a massive terrorist organization that controls its own army - used state-of-the-art technology known as "quantum transporter" to infiltrate the OAR's research center and steal top secret and incredibly dangerous data.

To make matters worse, while trying to calibrate the coordinates on the Quantum Transporter, Shelia accidentally activates the device, immediately transporting all nearby people to Floating Island - an air continent near the North Pole, which was not disturbed in its sleep over 1000 years.
