Stronghold Crusader 2 is the long awaited sequel to the game Stronghold: Crusader, the original "castle sim". After 12 years, Stronghold returns to the deserts of the Middle East around 1189, with a new 3D engine and a realistic destruction of castles, made by Havok Physics.

Playing as a knight of the brutal crusaders or an Arab freedom fighter, you must use a deadly range of destructive troops and siege equipment to decide the fate of the holy lands.

Lead your forces in battle in the role of Richard the Lionheart or the Sultan of Syria in two historic single-player campaigns, with dynamic events such as tornadoes and swarms of locusts. Become the greatest lord by managing the desert economy and taking control of vital oases.

To dominate the battlefield you will need to command over 25 types of unique units, mastering their special abilities. Raise your spirits with the sergeant-at-arms, attack with the Sassanid knight, use the archers to launch a volley of arrows or climb the castle walls with the deadly assassin.

Once you've honed your skills, put them to the test in brawl mode or take the online battle with up to eight players. Create teams, choose different opponents and design your own map in the coolest skirmish or multiplayer game.
