Reincarnation is the foundation of our way of life. We celebrate the lives that have been given to us and offer prayers for the next. The pain of death is the one that chains the living and makes the dead wander. Indeed, there is no greater affront to reincarnation. So we turn our pain into joy when we part with the dead. But the souls of those who have held back their tears in life need salvation in death. A duty incumbent on the Observers. Their task is to guide the wandering souls known as the Lost and to serve as guardians of the Living World and the Hereafter.
