Spitting the sand of Monkey Island in my mouth, I wondered if the life of a powerful pirate was as announced.

I had ignored recent events that should have been warning blows in the bow of my soul, from my wife's encounter with death to the anti-pirate ramblings of an Australian journalist.

If I had chosen a different path, LeChuck could still be dead and the Supreme Insult could remain a mystery.

If I had never caught a sword, pirates drinking grog in the Tri-Island area might not be threatened by the forces of enrichment and demonic fire.
